Actually, truck has 3.55 gears and it sucks. . .does anyone here know of a reputable shop that does gear swaps for a fair price? I can do it, and have done a few before. . .which is why I'm asking to have someone else do it
truck gets moving a little easier and quicker if hes gonna step up to like 4.10's.. and also it can help when you get into doing towing as well.... now if he goes the other way to like 2.89's better fuel economy and lower rpms...

Heights don't bother me either, we have a 110' Pierce Snorkle in town, and I've manned the gun many times.
I also in my younger days went Hang Gliding in Upstate NY, jumping off 125' sheer cliffs and taking them up to 1500' - 2000', and nothing between me and the ground except my seat....

accel in my case...3.55 SUCKed at turning 37s! lol and surprisingly i really didn't see much of a drop in fuel economy. i have found the single greatest influence on that is...my right foot. things like blasting out of intersections when the light changes, pulling out stuck people, and spinning doughnuts use waaaay more fuel
