first, my horse trailer is starting to rust in several spots...short of shelling out $1500 to have it completely redone (which i can't), what's the best approach to sanding/priming etc to keep it in check?
then- how difficult is it to replace ac clutch/compressor and flush brakes?
3M paint/rust remover wheel and a drill works great... wipe the area down with naptha or thinner to clean the area and then hit it with some rattle can paint.. itll save ya tons... good primer and then a shot from close color matching can will do ya good..
just better off replacing the whole compressor really... and difficulty on that replacement can be dependent on the location of it...
do you know if your running r12 or r134a in it?

ntm old ones suck too... i hate when they get so old that the heads literally are so weak you can round them off without using much force...
Have a good time at the show, I am also in the flight path of one of the runways. I think they have been practicing, the weather might not work out......hope it clears up.
nice, you can watch the show from your front yard. It's been a while
since i saw the angels fly they put on a good show..
kinda... they start turning when they reach my neighbor hood...course id rather sit inside... insulated windows and walls cuts down on the noise... but i cant stand it... they fly over the house so low you can literally wave to the pilots and see them wave back when they fly over sometimes...ntm see the bolts that hold their tires on the landing gears...

they dont need to.. they do shows all across the states during the year... whats been going on the last couple weeks is the base is trying to use up all their "govt grant money" theyre allowed for the year in the last few weeks... instead of using it consistently and spread out through the yr theyre trying to use up all the stuff theyve been hording this yr.. ntm pretty much all the squadrons are back in now...
I've been very impressed with using POR-15 on my axle and parts. . .
a $25 "sample pack" is really a kit that does 12 square feet. it includes everything you need. . .cleaner, brushes, gloves, instructions, and paint. Really depends on where it is rusted though. . .if its rusting at seems or joints you really need to get it apart to wire brush and at least hit it with an Ospho like rust converter and quality zinc rich primer. . .

not sure about the AC clutch. . .I took it out of my red truck and it wasn't too bad. . .and I take for granted my 2004 AC just works :P
hmm...maybe time to visit my buddy jody at cavalier garage then. i really probably ought to give him some business in return for the free tips and tranny check, and etc
and of course it is seams...my luck sucks
