Sorry to hear that Rich...I put in 10 myself today!!!
Matt...tomorrow is supposed to be even better...low 70s here...probably a bit warmer down south where you are!!! I think that will officially qualify it as Indian Summer.
im leaving work 1 and going to work 2 now. gotta save money for turbo mods....
also.....i found out on the top stage i get turbo flutter, not always but a few times its flutter'd BAD. i think its because i dont have the cac on yet, there is not a lot of intake air mass to "cushion" drastic changes in the intake charge causing it to flutter. thats my theory. when it doesnt flutter its very fun!
that van has:
-new injectors at 66,500 miles (probably done by me....)
-new high pressure fuel pump to replace a leaking unit at 56,000 miles (also done by me)
-at 78,400 it has a CAC hose replaced by danbury chrysler
-the last mileage entry is at 81,852 also at danbury, something about quarter panels?
all warranties are expired except for diesel engine (using the last mileage entry of 81,852.....the mileage is probably higher so it may be expired as well)
DIESEL ENGINE exp: July 1, 2011 - 20 Months or 18,148 Miles
i would be most worried about the transmission. 80-100k is where i see a lot of trannies puking. check the fluid if you can. if its bright red they just changed it. if its green/yellow the tranny is smoked. if its dark brown, i would make sure it feels good on the test drive and get it flushed asap. if its dark red it was probably changed 50-70k and the tranny is probably doing well.
check the tires for some cupping and the steering for play. ball joints/tie rod ends are not a big deal but tires get chewed up if they are bad. other than that, pending it passes your visual leak/broken parts inspection its probably a runner!
ill run the VIN through our system at work tomorrow and see what we did that wasnt covered under warranty. i know the name on the van so it has seen my bay a few times at least.
