How do you post photos on the threads? I don't mean in a garage, photo book or all that, just in a thread. Other sites with this format have a paper clip in the heading of a post or reply that you click on and you can browse. I see a hard disk image that wants a URL something. Help!
If you would quote this post, you'll see the image code bracketed at the beginning and at the end of the web address for the picture [img] and [ /img]. That will work for stuff you get off of the web.
I think you may need to exceed 25 posts before you can post attachments.

Set up an account with a photo hosting site (i.e. photobucket dot com).
These folks host "FREE".
Once you have an account, upload whatever photos you want to post, to that account.
(NOTE: I recommend resizing photos to no more than 8.00" wide, so that viewers won't have to scroll sideways.)
Now that you have your photo(s) uploaded to the account, you will see four types of code under that photo.
• Email and IM
• Direct Link
• HTML Code
• IMG Code
Select the IMG Code and right-click. Select "COPY".
Come back to FTE (and the thread you want to put a pic in) and right-click and select "PASTE".

Done!
My favorite bomber from yesteryear
You can show em' how to, by posting more pics of that B-58 Hustler, Keith!........That was one AWESOME aircraft, they should still be in service. What, a Mach 2.2 bomber wasn't good enough? what were those Pentagon bean counters thinking?
I think, maybe, in order to actually attach a pic to a post, you have to be a supporter. Anyone can put in a link to a pic on another site, though. I won't swear by this, though.
If you look at the top of the message form, you'll see a little square that looks like it might have an image of some hills or mountains. If you click on that, it will ask for the url for the image. I've used that to put in pics from photobucket. Get a photobucket account, and put your pics up there.
You CAN refer to stuff in your gallery, but it has to be automotive -- and there may be other rules.
I don't know if supporters can post attachments directly or not -- I keep running into cheapness when I think about joining . But, I hope that they can.
As for the B58, it was a wonderful plane. Unfortunately, at least one of them disintegrated in mid air. At the time, that was the reason given for shutting them down.

Yes, supporters can.
I have an attachments button just to the right of the smilies in every advanced reply window.
B-58 Mostly based at Stratagic Air Command Bases. A few were at Carswell AFB Ft.Worth,Texas. Heard a few stories of bets taken at the local bars of who was the fastest birds in the sky. B-58's would use the Afterburners to take off halfway down the runway! B-58's WOULD ALWAYS WIN!!! Sorry to hijack the thread! Lived under the flightpath of Carswell! Was known as B-52 City!
