its one thing after another this week but anyway im driving home and decide i need to lay down in it for a little bit.. got it up to 16psi on the boost which i think is ok for no programmer on. pulled into the driveway and notice the exhaust is a lil louder than normal. i rev'd it and its got a deep voice it sounds like. i pulled the spider off a few weeks back but hadn't really had any problems. i know on them ol gassers that the muffler will kinda get louder the longer u run it... this magnaflow has been on there a year... so yal think all is well or should i look deeper. up pipes looked clean the other day when i was tryin to find a oil leak so i think those are fine unless 1 just all the sudden blew out.
really sounded like under the hood but i was beside a building so i really dont know. its in the shop today gettin the tailgate fixed so i'll check after work
I would follow the exhaust, starting with the down-pipe to be sure it is not touching any metal part of the truck. A common spot is going through the trans cross member, hitting one of the bolts. I had this problem with the down-pipe hitting the firewall. Loud as hell inside the cab making a turn.
yea i think its at the crossmember because its loudest when the motor moves like in a rev or lugging it but im happy tonight and no little issue is gonna take that away. my truck rolled out of the booth about 3 and i picked it up about 5 30 i'll just post some pics of it tomorrow when i get a minute
