Tach

I have a 95 F-150 300i6 w/m5od and 4x4.

I want to install a tach but am not to mechanically inclined. How difficuly is this task and how long should it take?

Look along the top of the page at the silver/grey banner. Move your cursor over Articles/Specs and click on List Articles. From the list on the left click on Instrument Cluster and you will get a link to an article about fitting a tach.

Thanks Lazy K, but i'm not replacing my cluster. I want to install an aftermarket tach.

all an aftermarket tach has is 4 wires
1.12V power
2.ground
3.switchable 12v for the internal light (dimmer/light switch)
4.wire to positive side of the coil

then you just find somewhere to mount it

Find a wire by the fuse box that is only hot with the key on . Find a ground under the dash like the firewall ...Lew
