03 vibration/noise
newb here, 03 explorer w/88k with what appeared to be a wheel bearing noise. When traveling above 20mph noise gradually gets louder with speed and tops out at about 50mph. Noise goes away when slight turning to the right and noisier when turning left. I changed the right front hub/bearing noise still there, changed left front h/b, noise still there. Since steering right made the noise quiet down I suspected front bearings, both have been changed and the noise persists. Is there something that is steering related that I can check or can it be rear bearings? Do they take a bigger beating than the fronts? Tnx-Mike

i had a 2002 that had 1 front go out, and 1 rear go out about 20k miles apart, bout in the 70-80k range. Backs are pressed into the knuckle and need a 12-20 ton press to push apart and back together. Other than drive shaft universals, not much else turing that makes noise and increases with speed.
