F-150 FX4 Tire Question

I need some help....I have a 2006 F-150 FX4 w/ 20" rims running the factory installed Perelli Scorpion 275/55/20. Just bought the truck and the tires need replacing. I want to level it up and put on as large and aggressive a mud tire as possible without any rubbing, using the stock rims. I'd like to lift it but my girlfriend is 4' 11" and she's already climbing up on the running board to get in and carrying on about it. I need advice on a quality leveling kit (size and brand) and the best size tire to go with. I've looked high and low and got myself nothing but confused on this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 6 inch lift with 35" tall and 12.5" wide tires. Had to cut some bumper to make them not rub when I turned. Probably don't want to go with anything more than a 33" tire and maybe 10" wide unless you are gonna put a good lift on it. Not sure about a leveling kit. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for the input. I was looking at the 305/55/20s what do you think?

Those should work just fine without rubbing, or lifting. A 305/55/20 measures 33.20" If you're still nervous, you could go with a 1" leveling block up front. It'll take the front up a tad and still retain some of the stock rake. I doubt it'll change the looks a whole lot though. 33" tires looks pretty sedate on our trucks.

I'm going to hijack the thread. I've got a 08 FX4 SuperCrew w/ factory 20's and the POS Pirellis. I think I've made up my mind that I am going to go to BFG ATs soon. I plan to go a little bigger than stock this time around. My delima is that I could go to aftermarket 17s with the same diameter BFGs as I would put on the 20s for the same amount of money. I love the way these trucks look with black rims.

My concern and question is what about the tire pressure monitoring system? What would I have to do to get this system to work on a different diameter rim?

I run 305/55/20s with a 2" Autospring leveling kit.I don't have any rubbing but my Roush wheels stick out a bit more than stock wheels.Stock wheels may or maynot rub a little with the steering turned to full lock?
