Split Rear Slider Widow...

On my 91 F150 Lariat i have the slider window that has a total of 4 pieces of glass, the middle pieces slide together and latch in the center. My problem is that the latch and rubber seals that go on the sliding glass is missing. (i bought the truck with a camper shell and decided to take it off and now anyone can open up the window and climb right in) Does anyone know where i can get the latch and rubber seals? Preferably new? Thanks!

You're right, I thought the latch looks non-OEM, but I never noticed it's for a 3-piece slider... Heck, I don't know then, other than a junkyard?

This image is from a part number scan for 1987-1991 trucks and, I believe, has the parts you are looking for. The latch isn't shown in the drawing, but the part number is listed below between #6 and #7.

thanks

Thanks a lot! That's exactly what I'm looking for, I need the weather striping that goes between the slider windows and I need the latch, where did you find this image? Possibly a place I can order it from? Ordering it from Ford gets a little expensive.

Since we are talking about sliding rear windows, does anyone know where I can get the piece of weather strip at the bottom of the center window?

I have a CR Laurence single slider with 3 panes of glass. I tried to find a website for the company and could only find this.

Welcome to C.R. Laurence Co., Inc.

I tried to contact them about it and got no reply.

I have also asked a glass shop and they have no idea either.

Have you asked the local Ford dealer about yours? They may not have it anymore, but it is worth asking.

You may find that it is cheaper than LMC or NPD. I know I recently got an instrument cluster bezel from trademotion.com (silver state ford) for 100 bucks. NPD wanted 130-160 and LMC wanted 199. So, buying it directly from a dealer was less expensive.

It's from a 16 page printed Ford document I bought on Ebay for $5 and scanned into a PDF file. I'm not allowed to do file attachments on this forum, or I would do so.

I checked the dealership the guy i talked to was a total retard, he had no clue what i was talkin about. and as for your 3 pane window if you cant find the replacement weather strip see if you can find a weather strip kit where you can cut and size your own weather strips. hope this helps.

I can't believe the guy at the dealer didn't know what you were talking about. What is with some of the people they have working at these places?

I'll probably look into that weather strip kit idea.

On your Latch.....

I have an '89 with the 4 piece (2 sliding) rear window. The existing latch was totally shot from age/heat/etc. Anyone could crawl in.

Here's what I got from NPD:

F-40860-1A Latch Assy Back Window Replacement Each $3.95

Works OK. Do remember I had to use the old mounting screws but I don't remember the reason.

HTH
