As I have posted previously I am going to up grade my fuel system but first I am having a problem with the truck under acceleration. It boggs and shudders and it idles fine. the fuel pressure is 36 psi according to the gauge i used. i used my neighbors scanner i pulled codes 44 and 25. Any and all help is appreciated. Could it be the FPR? I pulled the vacuum hose and there was no fuel leaking.
Most people get a code 44 because they have disconnected the air pump system(smog pump).
Code 25 is a knock sensor code. When the scanner told you to, did you goose the throttle? If so, and you still get a code 25, then run the scan again and when it tells you to goose the throttle, peck on the exhaust manifold with a hammer. This will simulate the engine knocking and should make the code 25 go away.
thanks for the info Frankilin. Looks like some one removed the sensor. The threads are messed up. i am going to see if i can get the sensor then I'll run a tap in it to clean it up.
Franklin2, i just pulled these codes on my truck as well (25 and 44). I assume the code 44 is from removing the AIR pump. As for the code 25, does that indicate a bad knock sensor?

You need to re-run the test like I described above.
