On occassion when I start my truck, the check engine light comes on. So when I check it with my Edge programmer, it reads: P1211 Injection Control Pressure above/ desired. What does this mean? how to fix it?
my guess is the truck is having a hard time building high pressure oil at start up. my suggestion is check your icp connection first and if that is clean and tight then check your ipr o-rings
Hey Coonhunterjoe, I think you mave have solved the problem. I took a look at the connections, and on the pigtail to the IPC the three individual wires with plugs all had damaged insulation! So I just got done soldering in some good wire. and in a little bit, Im gonna give it a try.
If the ICP connections are good, check the oil level. If the oil level is too low (or the oil is old) the HPOP can't build up enough pressure to fire the injectors reliably. It just gets worse when it's colder outside.
Did you clear the codes after the ICP was 'rehabbed'?
Mine was at the top when i checked my HPOP..
So it should be somewhere up there close.
The ICP connector is fragile too I noticed.
Typical crappy automotive design. It looks like you could pull the wires right outa the connector when I was dorking with it.
Yea, make sure you clear codes. You might have just re-read the hung code.
