HI i am new to the forum, driven here by what seems to be a very common, but difficult problem to diagnose.

I have a 2008 F250 SD 6.4L Diesel, original owner. 123K miles.

Since hitting about 100k miles, i have had a myriad of issues:

1) Exhaust Sensor Failure (which halted me on a long drive to LA from San Diego) at 110k miles
2) Leaking HPFP - replaced at 115k miles
3) Replace Low Pressure fuel pump

As to point 2, Ford went through 4 (yes fourr) HPFP before they finally got one that worked. So I am very, very skeptical these guys know what they are doing. It is a Ford Dealership with what I am come to find out with very shady rep.

Now, I am blowing white smoke all the time, intermittently. Meaning, I will drive 25-30 miles, then it happens, then it stops, 25-30 miles, happens again, stops..then I once did to 300 miles before it happened again, and then back to the 25-30 miles frequency. Taking back to Ford is a waste, for they have admitted they know nothing.

I have read many threads here, and I am not convinced there is any one solution. I have not yet tried any additives, etc.

What I am curious about is: Is there a resource in the Southern California region I can call to get above the dealership to someone who really knows how to diagnose this issu? I have already put in nearly $4k to no avail on this.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I found the easiest way to fix this problem is to trade it in on a Ram. Since I did that all my maintenance problems went away.

i'd be happy to do that, but I don't need to spend another $75k on another truck.

Mine does the same thing, looking on line. the hot side intercooler boot seems to be the problem. condensation builds up and blows off as white smoke after a short stop in humid weather. at least I hope thats the problem in our trucks.
