Kemicalburns- Im putting the entire powertrain out of the F250 into the bronco. Plus this isent a daily driver, my 95 F150 with a straight 6 is my daily driver, the bronco is the fun truck
i had no clue where that was, had to look it up...though maybe i would see if you were in colorado or wyoming.
using the rear axle out of the 3/4 ton will probably be ok, but the f250 uses TTB with leaves in the front, so not only if you adapted it to fit, you would probably be better off just getting a dana 60 (usually about 1500 bucks) and doing a SAS. however, you could sell your leftover parts to recover some of the cost.
do you think that front TTB is a dana 50? Its 8 lug? And do you think the rear axle is a dana 60? I know its not a 9in. I think the gear ratio is 3.54, at least thats what I pulled off the front axle
I got the feeling the front was a dana 50 TTB it has leaf springs.
If anyone is interested Im parting out a 1992 F150 XLT. 302 V8 EFI, and M5OD tranny avalible let me know if you are interested.
Thunder, I would use a 9in, and I have one in the bronco already, but i think the dana 60 is a full floating axle and that would be a little stronger dont you think?
