54 power windows

After comming back from jeepin in Utah and Colorado and going down to Texas to see the grandkids [been gone for a month] I went out to my 54 ford hooked up the battery and it started right up. It was in my garage with the windows down and when I tried to raise the glass the driver side went up very slow and the passenger side went up an inch and stoped. Now both are just barely moving. I used the Ball power kit and I put new felt tracks from mid fifties. I can't figure out how the window got so tight in the track. I never liked the way the felt track fit in the window opening. It seems tight an the bottom and at the top. the felt track had protrusions on the back that fit in holes in the frame and they didn't fit the holes. Anybody else have a problem with their tracks. Or do I just have a short between my headset. Pops.

Is the battery in good condition and fully charged. Connections free of corrosion. Grounds from window motors good condition. Ground connections from battery to frame to cab to bed all good. chuck

Yes, thats what I don't understand I relocated my switches reattached grounds before I left and everything worked fine. Battery is in great shape and putting out 13 1/2volts . I haven't been able to pull the door panels but will tonight. Is the lower track stationary or adjustable I can't remember? If its adjustable maby it got loose. The driver side slows at the top and the passanger raises about an inch and and a half and stops.

Try jumpering a wire direct from the battery to the window motor also using clips attach a test ground wire between window motor and frame. It's most likely elect or binding. Eliminate one, fix the other. chuck
