Broken Shroud

So when I replaced my alternator, I broke the removable section of the radiator shroud ... the part that snaps onto the plastic shroud bolted to the radiator (and in half

). It is behind the "Power Stroke" name plate.

So I searched and found this part number

3c3z-19e672-ca

in this thread.

Problem is the above part is a $25 part and my dealer is telling me over the phone that its a $250 part.

I'm thinking he is quoting me the whole shroud and not just the snap-on part.

Is the above PN what I need to replace?

I have 4 dealers around me. The 1st thing I do is call all 4 for pricing. The closest one usually honors the lowest price. Incidentally the closest is usually the highest at 1st check.

So hehehehe i broke mine tonight too lol..can i run the truck with it off....mine broke and i just took it the rest of the way off after that....just the little snap on shroud there aint much to it...but will i have issues with overheating if i drive with it off????

It appears to funnel air over the top of the motor where the turbo is. Without it, I bet it gets wire insulation melting hot up there.

hey mitch where did you get that part #.....i have a part number of "3C34-19E672-CC" written on my snap on shroud piece......? Do i have an older number or? Truck is an 07 i would think that would be a current number but ya never know.

The number is in that thread ... its from 07 and on an 03 6.0.

3C34-19E672-CC turns up "No Part Found"
but
3c3z-19e672-ca turns up a $20 parts described as
