Leaf Spring Center Pins

Can anyone tell me what the center pin diameter and length are for the 4 stock leaf spring center pins on a 2004 F150 4x4 Screw?

I have an extra leaf I would like to add but no center pins and my local suspension center wants to know the size. It looks to be either 7/16" or 1/2" diameter and about 2 to 2-1/2" long but I need my truck so I can't start pulling it apart right now. Basically I will just add another 1/2" to the stock length to accomadate the addition of a new leaf.

Thanks.

don't worry about the length, you can cut it off when done... I'd buy a set of each and see if you can take the other back...

True, but off the top of my head I can't remember if you can even get to the bottom of the leaf pack with out, taking it out??

If you can get to it, and decide to cut the extra length off make sure you thread the nut first.

Call your ford dealer and ask the parts guy/woman. there parts blow-up will list the specs. We have a parts lady here, she's the best. I've been calling her for odd stuff like that for 15 years.
you already know but for the next guy, the dual center bolts on these newer trucks are a bit larger than they use to be. the heads are too. off the shelf ones from napa or the like would likely not fit.
post up the specs when you get them.

I can't believe I have to revive this thread...but I need help on these bolts! I am trying to add roadmaster active suspension spring, but I can't get the nuts off the centering pins for the leafs. I was going to start cutting, but I though that I should get new nuts and bolts first. Long story short...Ford parts guy told me that center pins are not sold separate from the leaf, I would have to buy the whole leaf! Went to a truck shop (deals with big rigs) and said that he has hundreds of the bolts and that he would install them, but he wanted to do it for $150 PER SIDE!!! What the heck is so special about these bolts??? Where can I get them? Tasca parts does not show them on their exploded view of the rear suspension either.

Well I did get a local parts store to order some...although, they were not sure what size so they order what was most common. With that being said, I went and got a new impact gun and some nice vice grips and got them off with no problem. So i didn't need them anyways. I think they ordered 3/8" x 4-1/2", but there was also 5/16", and 7/16" (with many different lengths).
