I visit the library regularly. I read a lot of fiction. I often swap books with my dad and several co-workers. When I don't have a free borrowed book at hand I'll get a couple from the library. I read before bed every night and when on vacation at the beach I'll read a book a day.
Our local library also has an awesome used book store that sells paperbacks for $.50 and hardcovers for $1.00.
Allows me to buy books of some of my favorite authors so I can revisit them a few years down the road.
I always have a few books from the library. I have 4 or 5 books on CD in my tow truck as I am so tired of the programming on the radio. I used to use it for internet access.
I'm on the internet here at the Louisville Library, 2 hours a day!
also had a book or 2 on WWII records info for my Dad's Military records, was 1 of those files burned up in the 1973 St.Louis fire. Still working on getting the records. Typical Government, "Hurry Up & Wait!"
I visit the library when I am off every other week. I return books and pick up 5 fresh ones. I read before bed and when it is slow at work. If I dont read all 5 books in that two week period I renew the ones I havent read yet.
My wife and I regularly hit the library and browse. It is not uncommon for both of us to walk out with about 10-12 books at a time. Well that has slowed down since the baby came in July. With be going back to college I will be hitting the library at NKU a lot with the fact I have two research papers and a speech project due in December.
I use to live at the library. My mom was a librarian and I would hang out there after school learned a lot of stuff read a lot of chilton and hanes manuals. Where I currently live I use to use the lib daily but haven't been there in wow 2 years or so. I buy books by the box full from the friends of the lib store thought $0.25 a book you can't beat it.
Flame on...(literately)
They also put books out for free that they can't sell then after two weeks they throw those books away. For awhile I volunteered to take the books to the recycle place for them instead I brought them home and used them to heat my house by burning them in the wood stove with a blower hooked up to it.
Yes. every day. Very good internet service, lap tops for in library use, WiFi for my lap top. And of coarse, books and dvd's. I read every night in bed just before falling off to sleep. Our county library has a huge selection to choose and loan from.
