Just wanted to verify that these are doors from our bump trucks. Going to replace the rusted out ones I have on my 69 f-250 with these. Owner says they are from a 69, but just wanted to verify. Looks like they are correct with the bump on door. Getting them for almost nothing, just a decent drive is involved to pick them up.
Okay, I knew the locks and what not were different. I may be putting my 67 doors on the 68 cab I just bought, unless I can find some really nice 68 doors.
Thanks for all the info. I picked up the doors today. 220 mile round trip to get them, but $40 for both was hard to pass up. Doors look better then they do in the picture, no rust and straight. Glass is in great condition and the windows roll up and down very smoothly. Will probably order some new door panels when that time comes. Now to sand them down and prime them. Then figure out how to hang and align these beasts. I was surprised at the weight of each door! A lot more then I expected! P.O. said he thinks they were from a 68 or 69. Either way, I think they will work on my 69.
1967 doors are ONE YEAR ONLY. 1967 doors do not have door lock *****.
The only parts of the 1967 doors that are the same as 1968/72 doors are the outside door handles, door lock cylinders, glass, weatherstrips, division bars, and hinges.
EVERYTHING else is different...including the door shells themselves.
Pat: 1968/72 doors will fit 1967's and vice versa.
NOTE: All 1967's, 1968's BEFORE serial number C56,001. The side mouldings are 1 1/4" wide.
1968's FROM serial number C56,001, ALL 1969 side mouldings are 1 1/2" wide.
These same 1 1/2" wide mouldings were also used on 1970/72 Customs, Sport Customs.
Thanks for the info Bill. I'm going to try and scrape up some 68 and later doors, I like having the door lock ***** and the updated door handles.
Jhooch, if I was closer, I'd snag them from you! I'd love to make a run out that way to go parts hunting, but the wife probably wouldn't be very happy with me!!LOL! I think I may have a line on a set of good 68 doors here.
