Tuners
Has anyone had any experiance with any power tuners on the '09s? I've heard good things about hypertech and the powerpup from bully dog but I want to make an eductated decision. So... Anyone heard or know anything?

I'm familiar with Edge products. They make The "Econ" system I think. -guarenteed to increase mileage or something. Don't they make a product for the '08s? Would that fit the '09s? These are probably questions I should be asking Edge.... But thanks for the input. I'll check them out.

thanks for reminding me that. i completely forgot that sct had released theirs. i was kinda looking towards edge so i can have the display. i know sct had their touch screen and livewire but they cost quite a bit more than the edge does. im experienced with sct products though. its a hard decision.

Too many more widely known makers of tuners like edge and bullydog rely fancy displays with all kinds of features that don't mean crap. The tune IS the important part. Don't buy any off the shelf tuner the canned tunes will suck quarenteed. Wait for the SCT with custom tunes from a reputable dealer and you will be set. Don't be distracted by fancy tuners, adds and claims. Your not just buying a tuner your buying support. If you take your truck to a dealer and reflash the truck and change the strategy code its nice to be able to deal with the the guy you bought the tuner from rather than dealing with a large company and people who more than likely have no clue what they are talking about.

Always heard good things about superchips, especially for F-150s. Edge is nice cause you have the display set right there on the dash but its a tell tell sign to the dealership that your running a tuner. others you just plug in, set the tune and go on your way. definitely agree to buy it from a legit dealer as to get the support. you want someone with experience helping you with a tuner cause you dont wanna blow your engine.

Well i called edge cause i had one on my 08 250. dude said around dec time frame. I asked him isnt the same as the 04-08 5.4 he said there was somethings for changed, what i really dont know but he said there test truck is fine. I really dont like the sct because it close to the same price as the edge but with the edge you can see other things.
