Im a noob to this site and im thinking of buying a 71 crewcab. The only problem is that is has a toolbox bed and i was wondering what kind of bed i would be looking for to replace that, short or long or does it matter? Thanks for all your help in advance
Probably a 6 1/2" shortbed. Shouldn't be hard to find. If the trucks condition is good and the price is right you should grab it. There isn't much on these trucks that you can't buy new or used.
cool i appreciate it. $1500 and its running so I think im gonna get it. I dont see many crewcabs out there
Man I would grab that dude up. I was just talking about that today how I have not seen many of them around. That would be a cool hot rod show truck project!! Needs a new front end, like maybe a Panther front end!!
Is it 2 or 4 wheel drive? Is it a dually? I have a 76 4X4 Crew and I live in Santa Rosa. I never see the 67-77 crews driving around down here. Still see quite a few drivivng around in Oregon where I'm from. Last time I was in Klamath Falls there was a decent 4X4 crew sitting out by the airport with a 4 sale sign on it. Looked to be 75-77 vintage. Post some pics if you obtain the '71.
