Hi folks, I need to get my truck bench seat rebuilt, or I will have to buy a new one, I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I would appreciate it if you guys can give me some suggestions on where to have my seat redone or where I can buy a new one.
red try ebay they have the original looking covers all through not cheap www.carandtruckupholsterys.com even the lariat style regurds joe from fox creek alberta
Have you thought of doing it yourself? I did mine and it was in rough shape, broken springs, foam eroded away, cover in shreds. I bought a new cover from 1A Auto and patched the foam with pieces of other foam and weather stripping adhesive. Check my gallery, it doesn't look too bad, although I haven't driven it yet.
We used a similar seat.
Any F series seat up to 96 will work. Just have to use your original sliders. They bolt up to the newer frame and will permit you to use your existing bolt holes in the floor.
If you have it re-upholstered, have some cupholders installed in the arm rest.
dads79: that is beautiful! same style as mine but much nicer!
and 75350 makes a good point about the cupholders, i think i saw a tech article once on installing them yourself, didn't look to hard to do yourself even if you didn't have to have the seat re-upholstered.
I wish I could take credit for the seat, but the last owner had the stock bench redone like that. I like the way the black breaks up the green inside the truck. The door panels also black, and since the green dash pad is cracked I might buy a new black one. Shane's ,I don't have a dash pad,but if I keep the green/black theme I do have a nice set of green XLT door panels with the wood grain I might sell.
