Patina is a good thing. Like the green covering on the statue of liberty or an old penny. Or the way bronze discolors over the years. It shows that something has weathered the years and endured the strain that time and the elements have put upon it. Anyone can have a shiny truck but, an originally patina'd, undisturbed, solid truck like that is hard to come by. You would not believe how much people are paying to have their trucks or Rat Rods painted with faux patina.

If you're keeping the present engine you might consider a pertronix electronic module to replace the original points & condenser in your distributor.
They're made for 6 volt positive ground, 6 volts negative ground and 12 volt electrical systems.

Thanks for the info, A friend that works on older car got the motor running before i torn it apart but I have never heard it run. I am hoping that the motor will be a simple rebuild without to much work
