FTE Website Issues
I was just wondering if there is something going on with the website recently. I am not able to use it for more than a few minutes at a time and it crashes. When I look at task manager FTE is not responding. I have tried many times and the same thing happens.

A few days ago, I had issues, but it's been pretty much OK since. That day, it would take forever and then show only the 'rough' page ( missing most of the formatting). However, as I said, it did clear up the next day.

Sometimes a particular post won't open, but usually it will if I come back to it later.

Things seem to be working better now. I'm not sure what was going on. I just thought I would see if others were having similar problems. I'll wait and see if how it goes before contacting anyone.

I've had it too, for the last couple of days. You'll navigate between posts and the browser will just lock up. Close it, come back, it'll work for a minute and then do it again.
Annoying for sure.

It's probably not really FTE that is locking up, it is whatever browser you are using, and that is probably caused by something Google ads is linking in. FTE has no control over that content. Those of us who support don't see those Google ads, and I haven't noticed any kind of lockups in a long, long time. Unavailable, yes, but lockups, no.

It's probably not really FTE that is locking up, it is whatever browser you are using, and that is probably caused by something Google ads is linking in. FTE has no control over that content. Those of us who support don't see those Google ads, and I haven't noticed any kind of lockups in a long, long time. Unavailable, yes, but lockups, no.

Spoke too soon. There are a few posts that seem to take it into 'Not responding'
Hey Ford Mechanics in GA does it consistently on both of my computers (I run XP, and my laptop seems to work a little better with the core 2 duo)
I watched task manager, and when I tried to open some posts, it would open the same post twice -- then one would stop responding followed by the other.
Maybe the OP could enter a problem report.

Mine has been locking up for quite some time, and loading each page takes FOR-EV-ER on a good day, and nothing at all on a bad one. I blamed it on my having dial up and the slow as heck AOL. But after reading this thread... now I don't know what to think.

I have rural dialup (26.4Kbps) and FTE forums ALWAYS loaded slowly for me whether I used IE or FF. The only time it loaded faster was the brief time I had WildBlue Satellite. But their fees were eating me up and had to drop it. Sooo, back to dialup.
FTE forums isn't the only site that loads slow for me, though. There are a couple of others that act the same way.
