COE Possibilities

I've noticed that the Big Jobs and such have the same CAB (not nose) as their smaller daily driver counterparts. Is it possible to use a mid 30s cab from a lightduty truck to make a COE?

The Big Jobs use the same cab as the F1's etc, except frontend sheet metal as you noted. On the production COE's the cabs appear similar, however if you note the lower front corners of the doors are cutout / have a radius to clear the fenders. The first production Ford COE was in 1938 (spring of).
Prior to that, there were some built by a conversion company, Transportation Engineer's Inc., as the Dearborn Line. (Info from Ford Trucks SInce 1905 - J.K. Wagner.) They appear to use production cabs with major sheetmetal fabrication to finish off the cowl and to make skirts under the cab. Other than that, and the frame work to elevate the cab, looked to use a stock grill and front fenders for '35-36. A picture of a '37 prototype looks closer to the 38/39 production models.
I'm sure a mid 30's COE could be re-created, with a lot of sheetmetal fabrication. Other than the old period photos I've not seen one. It would be nice too though.
