Why will the fasteners rot away leaving us in the same mess as before?

allot of the fasteners are also aluminium-- Why do I think they will hold up about as long as the others did?

Why time will tell how good they are, the roads ups here will be a good testing ground with the salt a gravel on the roads..

The procession may have one or two in it and I wouldn't want any of my kids or grand kids harmed should something go wrong.
