Why when we lived in France, the birth of our baby cost 1200€ total. That included 5 days in the hospital. I liked their socialized medicine.

Why was it when my daughter was born here in 1969 the cost was $635. We had no insurance. Sure am glad that she wasn't a high risk birth.
