I don't believe this. I was reading an article on the up coming "Blackhawk Down" computer game based on the movie/book/actual incident. Get this - a bunch of Buttheads are raising a stink about the fact that all the bad guys in the game are black!

Any person who could use their political authority to starve and deny their citizens of John Locke's natural rights doesn't even deserve to see the American face who kills them. I think it was overdignifying them to send in our elite infantry to kill that scum, and most of them even got to see the person who brought them to judgement. I love life, and cherish humankind, but any person who shows such disregard for human life deserves to see the bottom of a USAF B-52, nomatter what color they are. It wasn't fair to the American troops who have lived their lives respectful of others, and then are asked to do combat with an enemy that ultimately doesn't care if he lives or dies, so long as the American dies.

God has blessed us with technology to keep those who love and follow Him safe from our most despickable enemies, and this is an example where we should have used it. It's not a matter of race, it's a matter of respect for life, which the members of that cult in Somolia have shown time and time again.

Anyone who thinks this is about black and white needs to seriously consider thinking before they speak. For years, American kids have been blowing up **** Germany in video games. This is acceptible because that enemy has committed unspeakable crimes against humankind, and just like the Somolis, they were brought to an agonizing defeat. TK

Osama and his forty thieves were helping those scumbag warlords in Mogadishu. All Pres. Clinton wanted to do was to get some food to a million starving refugees. I think he was (hopefully) referring to the American soldiers who died. As far as the game being disrespectful, they actually got the permission from everyone involved in that operation, and several of the Rangers that were in Mogadishu that day are employed as consultants, to make sure the game tastefully, respectfully and accurately recreates that day.

On the Miata.net forum someone posted that the 'Reds' are fading but the other colors are not.

Having two 'White' Miatas I replied that they were trying to become 'Whites'

I never meant anything racial but it got the attention of the moderators because of complaints.

 

At least no one can say anything about the old cowboy movies of the 50s and 60s. All the Indians were white(Brut Lancaster for instance). So I guess it could be considered PC that the Indians in those movies lost to the cavalry.

Man I sure wish special interest groups would quite being so touchy about any reference. Some day I guess all our movies will have to be vanilla to keep everyone happy.
