Is there a trick to pulling a steering wheel off of a 89 f-150 without a puller? Thing is on there tight. Thanks

You can do it without a puller. Loosen the nut to where there is a very small gap between the nut and the wheel. Then grab the wheel with both hands at 9 and 3 o'clock, put your feet on the floor underneath the pedals and press your back against the seat, then pull as hard as you can while rocking the wheel side to side. It will pop loose against the nut, then remove the nut and the wheel.

be careful not to booger up the threads if you do that. Go rent the puller from auto zone. There's nothing better than having the right tool to do the job.
