Whats better than a free inter-cooler for a stock truck that never had one to begin with? a marginally better piece for $1400 on sale? nah not in my case. that might be great for guys who dont mind throwing all kinds of cash at a truck thats over 12 years old. free works out great for my budget. besides 1400 would get me much needed rims and tires.
I absolutly agree with you. I was just wondering why others with intercoolers are upgrading. 1400.00 would be a great start for new injectors.

I totally agree as well...If I'm going to spend 1400 I want injectors and an upgraded HPOP.. I'm going to try and find a used 7.3 intercooler and all the goodies to get it hooked up..

An intercooler is on my list because my truck is used to tow primarily and then secondary it is to get me to school... But I wan to do a set of injectors first and then do an intercooler, but if I can get an intercooler for cheap enough, I will do that first...

I cant think of any good reason to spend that kind of loot to upgrade from an already good IC. it just doesnt measure up in the cost/benefit analysis. but if you were to get a new higher boost than stock turbo...then sure. for the money I'd spend it on some other power adder if i already had the IC.
Intercoolers are more then just cooling, they are also about flow and low restriction. Even if it only cools a few degrees, if you gain some psi from a more efficient design, there is more power. Besides if it wasn't for the superduty guys wanting to upgrade to more efficient ic, we would be spending the big bucks to get set up.
