A few days ago, my truck would not start, I went to turn the key, got my wait to start light for a split second then everything went dead, and I could hear something shorting out.
I just tugged some wires from under the dash (thats where I was hearing a noise) and then I got my wait to start light back and she fired right up.
Went out today to start it. Got my wait to start light, it went out, I turned the key and everythign just went dead.
I have 12 volts at each battery.
I can hear a ticking noise coming from the relays under the hood in the fuse box. If I remove the first and second relay, the ticking noise stops.
The door chime/ding noise is intermittent and weak sounding.
Does anyone know what feeds the first and second relay or anything obvious to look for???
My trucks blockin the whole driveway so I need it fired up ASAP.
I'd try turning on the key and shorting the starter solenoid on the fender well and see if it starts/turns over, if it does you got problems under the dash like your thinking, you also may have rotted out battery cables/posts and can't carry enough juice for anything.....
