Just bought a 99 F150 5.4 4X4 and when I turn the ac controls to A/C the blower blows out extremly hot air. But when i stop at a stop sign or stop light it starts blowing cold air. Pick up speed, it goes back to hot. If I screw with the controls a little, I can get it to blow cold all day. What do yall think? Control Head maybe??????????????
temp is controlled by a mixing door with an electric motor that moves the door. not uncommon for the motor oto burn out or cam shaft on the door to break off. If temp is changing, i would think the door is flopping around. i think you can lay on teh drivers floor and look up toward the radio to see the motor. take off the plastic over the hump for access. look at olds posts on "blend door".
