I found a black plastic electrical componant (motorcraft E43B-10B924-AB) under dash just right of gas peddle on my 1993 F250 ext cab 4x4 5.8, 5spd that I asume was unplugged by previous owner. The 7 prong connector is just hanging there, wondering if I should plug back in, thanks
I'm trying to find my inertia switch, so I can de- pressurize my fuel system in order to replace my fuel filter. I pulled off drivers side kick panel and looked all over the firewall, and can't find it! It's a 1993 F250 ext Cab, 4x4 with 351, 5spd. I even tried pulling off my spring loaded fuel lines from filter with the proper donut style tool, with only gas caps off but wouldn't budge, guessing too much pressure in lines?????? So hoping I can flip inertia switch and de- pressurize lines in order to remove filter??
Thanks again
mat
I don't know if there's a fuse or not, but I know that there is a fusible link for that circuit.
You could also hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the schrader valve and bleed the pressure off that way. My gauge has a button on the side of it with a drain line for excess fuel.
Sometimes if you push the line into the filter and then push the tool in, it should work cause you take the slack off the spring. Turning the tool back and forth while doing so should help also.
