Howdy,
I needed to replace my hydrobooster a few years ago. I went to Cascade Friction Materials in Tacoma, Wa and asked them about it and believe it or not, they had one on the shelf. $125 exchange and I was out the door!
I did ask them where it goes for rebuild and they told me that they send them to a repair facility in Portland, Or.
I cannot help but put in my two cents worth on this. These trucks have HYDRO-VAC systems NOT HYDRO-BOOST. Hydro-boost is a totally different type of braking system. Hydro-boost works off hydrolic pressure provided by the power steering pump, not intake manifold vacum like the hydro-vac does. Tom

Yeah, you're right. We're using the terms interchangeably.
Although........my plan IS to pull the MC and Hydro-VAC system and replace the whole mess with a Hydro-BOOST system when it goes back together...... not unlike the one my 94 GMC 6.5L diesel Suburban has installed.
I haf my booster rebuilt for the 54 F750 at Brake Systems Inc, 2221 North East Hoyt, Portland, OR 97232. They hgad one on the shelf and Simply exchanged it. phone 503-236-2116 or on the web www.brakysystemsinc.com
