I just put a C4 in my truck and wanted to hook up my speedometer. Is there a way to adapt the original cable to a C4 transmission? Can I use a different cable that would work better? I've tried to look this up and can't find an answer. I know this has had to come up before.
My 57 came with a C4 in it. It looks like the PO cut the end off and glued it to the original cable. There is a large glob of RTV on it about two inches from the end. I never really thought much about it until right now.
Thanks for the replys. Unfortunitly, I don't think we have a Speedometer shop here in Grand Forks ND. There's a guy here in town that's been working on these old vehicles his whole life. I may go talk to him and see if he knows of a shop around that could do that. If nothing comes up or it's cheaper I'll order the one from midfiftey.
