A few years ago my family flew to Disneyworld. Since I'm a drag racing fan we took a trip up to Ocala to visit ther Garlits museum. It's only about an hour and a half up there, but by the time we returned the rental car, it was completely covered with those things!I don't know how you guys in Florida do it. Between the horrid humidity and the bug infestation, I'd be gone by the end of the first summer.
Since thread was revived, it must mean lovebug season is just around the corner....
Boys, I'd recommend that you make sweet waxy love to your trucks if you want love bugs to wash off and not stick to you paint when the sun hits them. Not too long ago, I put 6 or 7 coats of Zaino on my truck and I'm fairly confident that love bugs won't be sticking to my paint...
I use Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover and a microfiber cloth each night. Works like a charm. Not sure if the Zxlion coating the dealership put on is helping, but lovebugs come off pretty easy.
I zaino'd my truck and after applying a coat of Z6, nothing will stick to the paint. My paint was so slick, my hand slipped and I almost fell over trying to buff it!

Where do you get your Z6...never heard of it? Hand wax it on or buff it with buffer?
How about love bugs on Chrome? Know it hits paint hard if left on...anyone have experience with lovebugs on Chrome?
I get a slight bit of discoloration if I leave them on mine for any length of time, but it polishes out nicely. Nothing like the pitting and permanent damage like they do to paint.

Zaino Bors. is good stuff. Still, I just do this on trips own south.
Get some Glad Press and Seal. Stick it on the front end of the truck making note not to cover the air paths. At the end of the trip just take the stuff off and off go the bugs. Incidentally, you can also use the cheap ol Saran Wrap as long as you don't make a lot of long, high speed interstate runs (70mph+).
