Power Door Locks
OKAY, I'm new to the forum and a new Ford owner. I purchased a 1998 Expedition 4WD with 5.4L with 95K. Besides the shocks needing replacing the electric lock on the passenger's door does not work. I followed the hints on the forum and removed the door panel. The lock actuator makes noise but does not move the locking mechanism, I suspect it is near death. My question is, how is the little arm from the actuator to the locking mechanism removed? It looks like there is some type of locking collar on it or something. Or it could be that I'm just paranoid of working on BMW's and Volvo's for the last twenty years and can't see how simple it is!!! Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!
