Is alive and well. Our friend Al is still out there humming tunes to himself or anyone who will listen.
He's been upto "other mischief"and not able to come on line but he sounded like his oldself when he called me the other day.

Unable to come on line... did he get permanently banned from the internet for "spamming?"

Good to hear he's still singing a happy song.

Talking Short Version...

Pita has been a major headache. Good thing it's a hoot to drive or it would go to Retire Your Ride.
The Ranger is as reliable as ever.
Been working lots of OT just to make ends meet.
Moving to Oshawa cost way more than I wanted, but now my commute to work is 15 minutes including a stop at Timmies. I'm already seeing the reduced cost of gas building up my fun money stash.
I went 50 days with no internet or TV after moving. I'm just getting to old to slug furniture, so the rest did me good.
Bakers Dozen at Crockford will be closing next month, so the gang will be splitting up. Never seen such a collection of weird and interesting people like that before. Guess that's why I fit in so well!!!!
Gotta hit the hay. Gotta be up by the crack of noon to go to work.
I'll be back.
AL.

Days like today are the reason why I keep at it.
A couple of guys didn't show up for work Saturday & I arrived early & bailed out the dispatcher with some very old calls he couldn't get done.
Today, I had my days pay made in 4 hours because the boss got wind of what happened Saturday and fed me silly.
If this keeps happening, I just might be able to come up with a down-stroke for a new Ranger. Plan B is to sell the 97 privately and do the Retire Your Ride thing with Ford and say good-bye to Pita.

Welcome back Al!
Where abouts in Oshawa is home?

Bakers Dozen, sad to see your old hangout go away but I'm surprized they hung on for as long as they did. Was it a Beaver gas station at one time? Probably turn the place into a condo.

So where's Chuck??

Unhappy OT Is Killing Me...

It Better snow soon!!! I really need the money.
Park Rd. S & Malaga.
Just posted a couple in the B2 forum.
I just started putting more money in PITA and my buddy tells me that I'll be inheriting his Town Car in a couple of weeks. In the long run...even if I have to let PITA go cheap, the TC is a much better vehicle all `round.
The 10 year lease on the coffee shop expired and the fish store owns the property so they wanted to put their own restaurant in the front building.
Chuck is still doing transport. Last I heard, he was doing more long haul, state-side and such. I took the long way back from Barrie a few months back and stopped in but he was gone to the movies with his boys.
Well, it's late and I have to be up by the crack of noon for work.
AND......I can't believe that this post was still on the first page!!!!!!!
I just might have to break out my pot-stirrin-stick to liven this board up again.

So you get to watch new Camaro's go past you everyday.... your not just in GM country , your at the heart of it! ( or whats left of it) You keep an eye on them since we all own a piece of GM now!

Seems like Chuck managed to find all the parts he was after and is having issues unloading them now on Kijiji. Plans change I guess.

I thought you would have the FE shoehorned into the PITA by now, I guess you do slow down with age...

Get your stick out and stir away, it is kinda slow here. Matt is AWOL since reproducing, just a few regulars post. and no one can carry a tune any more!

Talking Mabeline....

I could just picture Bob Glidden singing this song to himself on the trip down the return road.....
Nothin outrun my V8 Ford
I had my hands on a 4.0 92 Ranger a while back.
I got the 8.8 LS 308 and 2 fresh front fenders +++++, but the guy was in a big hurry to scrap the truck (long story), so there'll be no shoe horning for PITA.
It's bad enough being surrounded by Garage Mans Companions at home, but when I get to the yard in Whitby, the Bust My Wallet guys are right around the corner. AND if that's not enough!!!!! those new Cramairos go to the BMW complex by the dozens for whatever the heck they get done there.
Maybe I should have taken the free room and board in St.Thomas back in 79. At least I would have been in Ford country.
