Just wondering who makes them. I was asking my snap-on dealer about one the other day and he he said he didnt know. Figured someone one here could tell me.
Actually they are made by Miller. We have the Snap-On 140 MIG at work and I love it. Never had aproblem with it. Honestly you can get the same or close to it for a lot less. If I remember correctly it was like $2500 with cart.
Check the duty cycle of the snap on welders compared to miller, they are better. I don't believe miller makes snap-on welders. Miller could make the blue point welders.
I dont think miller makes the snap-on welder either, when I was in the market for a wire feed recently, the miller rep told me he recently took in a snap-on in on trade and thought it was worthless junk! The century welders are made by lincoln geared for the home hobbiest just like miller does with hobart.
The last shop I worked in had a snap-on mig welder. We were building a single pipe roll bar for an old jeep, we used it for 3 hours and blew the caps aparts, we latter found out that it had under rated caps. The caps were too small for what the welder could do.
