I bought 2 new gas tanks ready to install, trouble is the old rear one got sent to the dump before I could get the sending unit out and now I can't find one anywhere. Rock auto, ebay, nor anywhere else I have tried has one.
will one from a fuel injected truck work? I can't beleive how hard it is to get one.
A quick tip if you decide to order your sending unit from LMC. I had ordered a side tank sending unit from them and there was no indication in the catalog that a new gasket and lock ring came with the new sending unit. I ordered a seprate gasket and lock ring and when the parts arived, sure enough, the new sending unit includes a new gasket and lock ring. They were good enough to credit me on the returned parts but shipping was my loss...!
Thanks Bill, you are a true asset to these forums!
Thanks, I appreciate the sentiment.
I listed the three sources that have E5TZ9275C that are closest to the OP...who lives in BC, Canada...and the one source that has the largest quantity.
In fact, there are 117 of these fuel sending units scattered across the US at Ford Dealers, obsolete parts vendors.
Took me almost a year and half to find a reasonably priced one. I found it at a couple of dealerships but they were askin almost 400 bucks for them and I wasnt about to spend that kinda money.
