can't find a fuel sendign unit
1986 F150 300 six cyl carburated.
I bought 2 new gas tanks ready to install, trouble is the old rear one got sent to the dump before I could get the sending unit out and now I can't find one anywhere. Rock auto, ebay, nor anywhere else I have tried has one.
will one from a fuel injected truck work? I can't beleive how hard it is to get one.
Help please I am stuck.

A quick tip if you decide to order your sending unit from LMC. I had ordered a side tank sending unit from them and there was no indication in the catalog that a new gasket and lock ring came with the new sending unit. I ordered a seprate gasket and lock ring and when the parts arived, sure enough, the new sending unit includes a new gasket and lock ring. They were good enough to credit me on the returned parts but shipping was my loss...

I listed the three sources that have E5TZ9275C that are closest to the OP...who lives in BC, Canada...and the one source that has the largest quantity.
In fact, there are 117 of these fuel sending units scattered across the US at Ford Dealers, obsolete parts vendors.

Well thank you very much. I agree you are a very big asset.
I have fired off emails to all of these guys and we will see what transpires.
I am really surprised how hard these are to find. Strange that you can get a fuel tank almost anywhere but not the sending unit!
