I have a DP Tuner and use the 60 tow when towing my 8600#,weighed, travel trailer and this summer As I was pulling out from a cg and up about a 4% highway grade, the service lite came on and I could hear a kind of chirping, let up on it and the chirp went away. Got to the nearest dealer and got it checked and was told that there was a p0605 and a p1211 code.He said that the P1211 code was for the ICP sensor and it would be ok to keep driving it.The last day,out of the blue it happened again and the tech at the dealership said the same thing about the P0605 and P1211.Said that he couldn't get it started, sohad to reprogram and reset. Then he told me that I'd have to remove the tuner so that he could reprogram the PCM as the latest SSM.If I have the stock setting on the tuner, why would I have to remove it???
Now the light came on again as I was towing home yesterday on perfectly level ground, well, the Hood Canal Floating Bridge,so I s'pose I'd better get the ICP or whatever changed . What is involved in this and what's it gonna cost me????
Oh and last summer I had to have 1-3-5- and 8 injectors replaced and that was pre-tuner.
If it is just an ICP sensor it is real easy to replace. I would at least pull the plug and look into it to see if there is any oil in the plug.. sometimes that shorts it out...
Anyone nearby with AE that could datalog your truck... you need to get some ICP and % pump duty cycles to see what is going on...
You also should try to run it without the chip to see if the issue is still there...
