I got a set of plugs going in on tuesday. Im getting married tomorrow so I havent had alot of time to screw with it.
HT32BSX115 are you from Wahpeton?
I got new wires, plugs and a roter to go in then so mayby I will get a hotter spark.
That E10% gas is a heck of a solvent. Breaks alot of stuff clear That is the only reason I used it here. After I am donein two or three fills, I will switch back to a straight gasoline.
No, I just looked you up on Google-Maps and found an airport you can get avgas from. Most of them are self service for fuel. If you go out there with your own cans there's always someone that help you get fuel.
You probably can't "go back' to straight gasoline in most cases. It's pretty much a "50 state" fuel now.
It's being mandated in all 50 states in metro areas and a lot of the refiners are delivering it to areas that don't require it. They don't tell the retailer that they're getting in some cases.
If you want to know for sure, you'll need to get an alcohol test kit and check it. http://www.fueltestkit.com/
There are two service stations in town that have plain old gasoline. One in Fargo and that is the onlly other one in my area. Out in wyoming were my buddy is from they sell a cheep 85 octane gas. Though he has to run premium in his newer cars his old 400M eats it fine.
Thanks for all your congrats the wedding went off well. Plugs, wires, and roter go in tomorrow.

Those stations may be selling E10 and don't know it. The end retailers have no way of knowing what they get. The only sure way to know if it has Ethanol in it is to test for it using the procedure above. There are many places that around the country that don't have to use E10 but get it because that's all that is available for their area.
It was originally only required in the metro areas from about OCT-APR or so but a lot of areas are getting it year round.....
The EPA (and all the greenies) wants to (or already has) mandate it year-round everywhere. I don't think that has happened yet.
I think it's a mistake.

Hey! how did I miss that? CONGRATS on the wedding! (MAN ARE YOU IN FOR IT!!!)
E10 is mandated in Oregon. No choice. I'm all for protecting the environ, but E10 is going backward. What are you protecting if the gas gets 10 percent less mileage, not to mention all the cost of growing corn, trucking the fuel, distilling, resultant rise in food prices, etc.
I use the E10 for solvent purposes only.
The guy that runs the local station I usualy go to advertises and professes "real" gas. He says him and one place in breckenridge are the only two in town and both of them request it. Also all premium gasoline in ND is still supposed to be straight gas.
Where does one get a alcohol test kit for their gas? I would be intrested to see if I am geting a line of squat.

If most of the refiners would offer premium gas with no alcohol, a LOT of little airplane people would be eternally grateful.
The FAA has warned aircraft owners that their Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) allowing the use of autogas in their aircraft strictly forbid the use of gas containing alcohol.
