Whenever you take a truck apart there is always one piece that can not be found it seems. For me it is the vent window upper pivot. After removing the windows, cleaning, painting and installing new gaskets I can't locate one of the two upper pivots. You know what that means? You cannot reinstall the window and therefore everything else into the door. Does anybody happen to have an old vent window sitting a round or a upper pivot as there will not be any of our trucks in the yards locally in my area?
MANDERBACH FORD in Temple PA has ONE = 888-225-4364.
This bracket rivets to the frame that retains the vent weatherstrip, the pivot on the vent frame attaches to it.
If the vent frame pivot is missing, it only came with the frame.

There held on exactly as you discribe Mike; held on by screws. I've replace one on my 65 after I broke it of during restoring. I guess I will start trying to remove them from truck in the future from scrap yards myself.
My question is aren't / doesn't the 67-72 vent have the same type pivot?
There more of that style in my local yards than slicks.

The screws look just like rivets in the parts catalog illustration of the vent window, but screws they are.

Since the 1967/72's are a completly different body style, the vent window parts are not the same as 1961/66.
They may look the same, but...looks can be deceiving.
The 1967 vent frames and handles are 1967 ONLY, not the same as 1968/72.
And...if you are unaware, the 1967 door shells, inside handles, armrests and most of the doors internal parts are 1967 ONLY. 1968/72's have door lock *****, 1967's do not.
The only parts that interchange with 1968/72's are the window/vent glass, weatherstrips, division bars, outside door handles and hinges.
The brake/clutch pedals, bracket they hang from under the dash, master cylinder/booster, prop valve, firewall, dash, radio, heater, instrument cluster bezel, and other assorted jazz are also 1967 ONLY!
Yes, I believe so...but haven't looked yet. The condition would also be "less than new" but useable until you can find a decent one as a permanent fix.
Actually I don't need the entire vent window. If I had found one I would have simply unscrewed the upper pivot and used just that part only for my frame.
