New Smaller Excursion sighted
Was at the mall here the other day and I saw an Expy XL with out of state plates with a brush guard w/lites,billit grill,lite bar on the roof,jacked up about 4-6" with wide oversized tires,dual shocks,dual exhaust,paddle trailer mirrors AND EXCURSION BADGES on it in all the right places. Went and asked the guy about Excursion and asked him what year it was and all that stuff and he said that it was an '09 model and that Ford was building them smaller like an Expy XL to take place of the larger Excursions and that he had built his up for off roading,etc..I said that it was neat that Ford was doing them again and he asked me what I meant and I told him that Ford had quit making them in '05 and then walked over to my "PSD EX",got in and drove away..OOppss...

I kinda looked around the area today to see if it might be somewhere I could get a pix,but no-way.From the looks of the height of it,I would guess it was a 6" lift and except for the huge tires on it,I'd be worried that it might just fall over going around a corner. It looked like a midget monster truck.

I always say that the Excursion always wanted an interior like the Expy. An Expy EL body with a Super Duty chassis & drivetrain would be the shizzle.

Can't remember what car it was but I saw this very nice hotrod car with a giant cowl hood and then noticed those fake vent sticker things on the side of the cowl. I laughed and rolled my eyes at that one.
