question about billet grilles

i was considering getting the black billet grille from carrage works (the one that goes inside the shell) and i was wondering what happens to the lever that opens the hood?, it seems like it would be really hard to open with such small spaces in the billet

do they send a different style handle?

carry a flat peice of metal around with you so you can slide it between the grill and open the hood

is that actually what you have to do? i was thinking if it came to that i would look for a car with the type that shots out of the grille and put it in sideways, i know towncars have them...

i have heard of people doing that, you could just weld up a latch that works with the grill wouldn't be hard at all

Thats the only billet grille that looks good on our trucks. I considered getting one, but never did.

I never thought about the hood latch. What do the guys that have the ebay billet grilles do?

I dont know about Carrage works but my Stull grill comes w a handle that gets bolted to the original hood handle. You cut a 3" hole in the header panel in the top and that is your access tho the relocated handle
