Bed rug question
I had one in a Ranger and it held up very well. Only problems I had were trying to load lumber and / or plywood because the wood always wanted to catch on the liner. Otherwise, it was great. Hosed out and cleaned up really easily too.

Thanks John that is the kind of feed back I was looking for. I've been thinking it might work for me when I take off to go fishing. I could sleep back there if I find a great fishing spot for a few days.
Thanks again John for the feed back.

Any time my friend and welcome to FTE! And you are right about sleeping back there. I put a shell on my Ranger and with the bedrug, it was perfect for a short camp out. The foam padding on the back of it was thick enough and contoured to the ribs of the bed that it was plenty comfortable. You could also add one of those contoured bed air matresses to it too if you wanted to....just take a compressor.
I have one in my truck (09 Screw 6.5' bed)... it's quite comfortable to lay on. I can't comment too much on cleanup - I haven't had it more than about 3 months and it's covered by an ARE DCU topper, so it doesn't get wet/dirty/etc. We have one in a 2007 F150 Screw 5.5' bed and it has held up very nicely for about 140K, although it too is covered by a commercial topper.
As long as they hold up to rain and "goo", I'd go for it!

Thanks tvsjr for the feed back. I'm waiting for my ARE canopy to show up so it will be covered like yours.

bed rug
I've got a bed rug in my 09 f150 fx4 5.5 bed. I put one in for my fishing trips and I'm glad I did. It's nice to look at, makes it easy on the knees to climb around on. It holds items well. I have loaded many many dirty filthy muddy items - like a 20 year old deck I tore out of a home - and it cleans up very nice like new. I do keep it in garage so it still looks new after 1.7 years. I did buy more velcro from walmart to make it as tight as I could get it. There are a few wrinkles on the bed side I really don't like and will never come out & that's my only complaint. Overall I rate it 8.5 out of 10 with 10 being complete satisfaction.

Ditto. I had one in my 04 and now I have one in my 09. Very durable, easy on the knees and it looks great! Try crawling around in a bed with a spray in liner and you'll never do that again. LOL. Yes, you can sleep on it too. Pillows are extra!
Well worth the money and you can take it out and sell it if you ever get rid of your truck. Another bonus!

Thanks DBLX for the information ! I just got off the phone my canopy is in but will have to wait for the bed rug to come in. Should look great with the headliner and bed rug matching. Should work good as we do a lot of fishing and like to stay a couple of days.
Thanks again everyone

bed rug
we had a full bed rug (bed, sides and tailgate) on our 2005 F150 and it did hold up pretty well (dogs, lumber, stones, hay, snowgear...you name it, although we had a camper shell).
After we upgraded to a used F350 we just got just the bed mat and tailgate (from http://www.autoanything.com/cargo-li...A3742A0A0.aspx). We actually like this setup a lot better: much easier to take in/out(we just use the double sided tape for the tailgate part, but left the actual bed part "loose") so that when you haul "dirty" stuff you can just take it out (we also have a plastic liner under) and leave it home or put it on top of your load (we have a shell on this truck as well). We also slept in the back a few times and it's quite ok(but bring a pillow or two).

Thanks for the info adbscu but I ordered the bed rug this am. Sounds like you have a gentleman's farm with the talk hay and things. I retired from farming Alfalfa and now live in Arizona. I don't miss the hard work but the cattle I do miss.
