I like it for many reasons.
It's comfortable. Occasionally, I take my dog for a treat a Wendy's and McDonalds. (He loves the chicken nuggets.) We just part in the shade, hop in the back and relax. Perfect for impromptu picnics and tailgating. Haven't been to the drive-in with it, but it would be perfect for that too. Wish I would have had one in college.
It's durable. I've hauled dirt and mulch in the back with no additional cover. Just hoses out. Looks like new afterward. Though it does take a bit of hosing if you really grind it in. Word of caution...do not haul colored mulch without a plastic liner. Some red colored mulch leaked out of a hole in a bag. It took about a year for that to go away.
I've also hauled various other stuff with little problems. Another word of caution...if you haul things that exert a lot of pressure on the material, you may want to put a piece of plywood under it. I hauled a drum sander to a dealer. I strapped it down tightly. Trip was about 4 hours long. The four little impressions from the feet never went away. Even a little 6"x6" piece of wood under each foot would have prevented that.
It's not slippery. While stuff will still slid around if you corner or stop hard, it's nothing like a bare bed. I put groceries in, put up the tailgate, and drive. With few exceptions, the bags are just where I put them when I get home. Car batteries are the same. Drop on in, drive home, no worries. Wouldn't try that with a bare bed or with hard spray in liners.
It's lightweight. No need to deduct 100-200 lbs from your payload capacity like you need to do with a spray-in liner. The extra weight from a spray-in liner also promises a permanent reduction in fuel economy and handling.
I'm really like my Bedrug. I'll always have one in the back of any truck I own. (And no. I don't sell them or own stock in the company. I just think it's one of the best changes you can make.)
