spark plug question

I pulled a couple spark plugs from my 5.0. Why would the tips be grey/white? What would cause it. I have about 2000 miles on the plugs / wires

Thanks

Possible cause is the fuel mixture is a little on the lean side. However you need to pull all the plugs to get the proper picture.

Someone who knows the 5.0 may be of more help but are those three plugs from cylinders near to where the PCV system dumps the crap into the manifold?

I dont know the cylinder numbers, but they were front drivers side, rear drivers side and the rear cyl. on passenger side.

The PCV valve was changed around a week ago..

Could it be 3 faulty plugs from the factory it just seems weird to be the 3 and spread out

Try swapping the plugs over and run it for a while and check how the plugs in those locations look then. The new PCV valve may help but has not been fitted for long enough to see a change.
