Blew up my hub today

Long story short I blew up my hub today, I was wondering if they can be rebuilt or not. I know they can be serviced, so Im assuming I can pull it apart and replace what is broken.

OR If someone has the ESOF stockers sitting around Id be interested in taking those off your hands if the price is right.

Ouch. You talking about the hub locks or the hubs? Either way, ouch. Both are about $300 a piece new.

Here's Guzzle's well-illustrated tutorial on going through them:

I have two of the stock hubs off my 2000 F250 Ford available. I replaced the stock setup with the Dynatrac free spin hub kit. I would be happy to let them go for $25.00 apiece and you pay the shipping if you are interested. They worked fine the last time I used them. Let me know.

How do you like the Dynatrac 4x4 HD upgrade kit?
I really want to go this route, but it's so expensive!

I was thinking about that, but same problem around here. Theres almost no 4x4 superdutys in the junk yards.

The Dynatrac kit is great. It cost me right at $2000. But it does come complete with everything you need including two sets of studs for the wheels. One set is for the fine thread and the other for the coarse thread lug bolts. Depends on which came with your truck. All the parts fit fine. The only modification I had to make was to enlarge my stock hub caps to fit the larger premium Warn hubs. I had to take a die grinder and enlarge the ID of the hub cap to 4.50". I did buy new U joints and had them pressed on so that was an additional cost. If you decide to go with the Dynatrac and have more questions please feel free to contact me.

You are the first person to say they have gone with the Dynatrac kit. It would appear you are happy with the set up and you are not experiencing problems as of yet. I am looking at ordering this kit for my 2001 F250. The only thing you needed to buy outside of the kit was the U-Joints? Did you go with a set of Spicer's or just the good ol Napa U-Joints?
The only other issue is plugging the vaccum lines that where for locking the stock hubs right?
Thanks Amboy Tom!

I have been very happy thus far with the Dynatrac conversion. After running the truck for a few miles I noticed the hubs were warm so I had to go back and loosen the locking nut on the bearings slightly and the problem went away. As far as plugging the vacuum lines I cut them off and left them about 2 inches long. I found a couple of screws that fit fairly tight into the rubber hose. Before I inserted the screws I put a dab of silicon sealer on each one and screwed them in place. I did go with the Spicer U joints but I am sure the Napa brand would work just as well. Anyway everything seems to work fine now.
Good luck on your conversion. If I can be of more help let me know.
Tom
