Pro, are you planning on the shackle reversal AND the lift springs??? Man, you are aiming for the clouds arent you??? I think I see some 54 boggers in your future if you are.. haha....are the 37 swampers on your truck in your avatar??? I have a pair of 36 humvee's and I am wondering how they will fit....they seem to fit your truck pretty well...

acording to my half-arsed measurement-my springs are 53" from the center of the bolts.....if thats worth anything...

Thats about what I figured. 53 inches is about right and just happen to be the same length as 73 through 79 trucks.
The SD springs measure just over 54 inches. Using this slightly longer spring means that the shackle angle (after the shackle reversal) is better than ever. Using the original rear hanger means that the new shaackle will achieve a very desirable 45 to 50 degree angle.
This optimum angle will increase wheel travel (articulation) and improve ride heigth.
I am concerned about the actual alignment pin, and axle location might be different but wont be different by very much. This is a small thing that would have to be addressed.
All good things happen with this type of upgrade. I dont see any negative effects yet.

We'll see how it goes. I just want to have plenty of clearence for 42 or 44" tires.
My 37's barely fit. And with the little flex I do get, I got them to stop turning cause they hit my fender.

Yeah i'm thinking 20" blocks up front. Custom fabricated. Its how the professionals do it.

My avatar is with my 37's. Most of the pictures of my truck are from my crappy cameraphone. So they arn't real high quality. And you can see how little clearence I have with them.

It really is taking SOOOOO long to start this. I had it planned. "Alright i'm going to get home and start ripping apart the truck." Then my dad called and needed help with his log truck. We were putting a new self loader on. Friday we started, got the old one off. And we figured okay saturday put in 8 hours and its done. We spent morning to night every day this weekend working on it. And he's just now getting his trailer back on. So 11 hours later we figure. Okay this took longer than we expected. Next day we started around 11 and spent till 9 last night working on it.

Alot of it was pressure washing, looking for new hoses, pipes.. getting things welded. Damn it was hectic. To top it off he had to haul logs this morning and he didn't get his log trailer back on yet. :P
