Curtains

These curtains get attention from the observant passers-by and along with the running boards, nicely finish out the EB trim. Wish I could take credit, but they were installed when I got the Aero and I don't know the story.
The material is a crushed velour, a dead match for the Ford golden beige. "Curtain tracks" are screwed into the ABS trim along the window tops, including the slide door and liftgate. Curtains are hung in pairs. Curtains get a hem on all edges, and on top a plastic backer tape and sliders every 3->4 inches. Tie backs are of the same material with velcro ends. Tie backs and lower extreme corners are screwed into the trim, typically sharing existing trim screws. Typical curtain dimensions (half of a pair) are 27"h x 25"w.
Years ago I stumbled across curtain tracks at a Marine West nautical store. Research for current restoration activities filled out the picture...these curtain methods are common in RV's, boat cabins and private aircraft. Marine West moved onto other products but an online manufacturer/supplier is Recmar Products (no affiliation, yada yada, and watch those shipping charges).

To complete the perimeter I needed to add a curtain wall across the front seatbacks. For expedience, velcro was stapled to the top edges of some random remnant, with the velcro mate contact adhered to the overhead A/C plenum.
